The Work Release Center is an arm of the Floyd County Prison. Our mission is to provide the local courts a viable alternative to straight jail or prison sentences. We provide a cost-effective semi-incarceration sentencing alternative that benefits the offenders, their families and Floyd County taxpayers by allowing offenders to maintain regular employment while serving their non-working hours in custody. Each resident is required to pay daily room and board to offset the costs of the program, in addition to any court-ordered fines, fees and child support payments.
