What is the difference between the prison and the county jail?

The prison operates under the authority of the Georgia Department of Corrections and houses only state offenders who have been convicted and sentenced in court.

 

When can I visit the prison?

Visitation hours are every Saturday, Sunday and state-observed holidays from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (must be here by 11:45, gates will be closed at that time).  For further information on visitation including rules and dress code, please review the “Visitation” section of our web page.

How do I get an offender moved closer to me?

Inmates of this facility are assigned to our care by the Georgia Department of Corrections.  If you are attempting to have an offender moved closer to you, you should have the offender make the request to his counselor at his current facility.
