Warden Michael Long

   M. Long

Warden Long began his career in Corrections in 1999 at the Floyd County Prison after serving three years in the U.S. Army. Long rose through the ranks of the prison and was instrumental in the founding of a training division at the prison in 2007. Long holds two Associate Degrees from Floyd College and is also a 2007 Honor Graduate of Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, AL. Long also completed his Masters in Public Administration Degree at the Law Enforcement Command College in Columbus, GA.  Long is the treasurer of the Three Rivers Chapter of the Friends of the NRA and a member of the Rome Noon Optimist Club.

Deputy Warden - Security Frank Cronan

Deputy Warden Frank Cronan oversees all security operations of both facilities. Cronan has over 22 years of Corrections experience ranging from maximum security, community corrections, and facility management. He is a graduate of the Professional Management Program through Columbus State University’s Command College. He is also a graduate of the Georgia Department of Corrections Basic Management Course and served as the Correction Emergency Response Team leader at Hays State Prison in Trion. Cronan was also the former Rome Diversion Center Employment Coordinator during that facility’s most successful years. Cronan is a lifelong resident of Floyd County and graduate of Pepperell High School, and is active in his church.
