  Electric Avenue

Downtown Rome Saturdays return this Saturday, August 4 with a free concert on Broad Street featuring Electric Avenue, an 80’s pop-tribute band. Electric Avenue performs renditions of songs by Duran Duran, Tears for Fears, George Michael, Wham!, Kenny Loggins, INXS, Prince, The Clash, David Bowie and more.

The concert will be held from 7 pm -10 pm and the stage will be located next to Jefferson’s on 4th Ave. Access to Broad Street will be blocked off to vehicle traffic in the 300 and 400 blocks from 4:00 pm until 11:00 pm. Outside coolers and drinks are not permitted in the event area. Downtown restaurants will offer armbands for purchase of alcoholic beverages in the event area.  Free parking will be available at 3rd Ave deck, 4th Ave deck and 6th Ave deck.

The free event series that runs the first Saturday of each month May through September is made possible thanks to the generous support of Rome’s downtown businesses and property owners. The community is encouraged to support downtown businesses by dining, shopping and utilizing services.
The concert will be held rain or shine. All event updates and announcements will be posted on the Downtown Rome, GA social media pages (@DowntownRomeGA).  For questions, please contact the Office of Downtown Development at 706-236-4520 or email
