Rome-Floyd County Cultural and Arts Plan Minimize

Called for in Goal 18.5 of the Comprehensive Plan of Floyd County, the cities of Rome and Cave Spring, the tourism product development mission of Greater Rome Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, and the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce’s Rome-Floyd 20/20 Plan, Floyd County is partnering with the City of Rome and the grassroots United Arts Collaborative to create a comprehensive arts and cultural plan for Rome and Floyd County.  The planning process will seek to “inventory existing organizations, facilities, programs, and resources, identify community arts and cultural needs to be addressed over the next 20 years, and develop strategies to implement the cultural plan. Over 99, arts, cultural, and heritage organizations have been identified as potential stakeholders and will be invited to participate in the planning process.   The educational sector will be invited as a vital partner.  The plan will seed a vision, and a roadmap of specific steps and responsible parties to get the community to realize that vision.

Please take a look at the Initial Findings Presentations here, and consider taking the Cultural Plan Opinion Survey here, and the Activities and Economies of Rome and Floyd County Survey, here.
