A Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax, or SPLOST, is one way communities can fund  improvements that benefit all citizens.  Previous SPLOST projects have included the local State Mutual Stadium, home of the Rome Braves; the Emergency Operations Center and a new fire station for the Cave Spring area.

Below is the application form to submit projects for SPLOST consideration and a copy of the Official Code of Georgia section that outlines and defines what a SPLOST can and cannot be used for.

Applications may be filled out online and emailed or printed out and filled in by hand and returned to the Floyd County Manager's Office at 12 E. 4th Avenue, Rome, GA.

Please return your completed application to the Floyd County Manager's Office by 5 pm on May 3, 2013 for your project to be considered by the 2013 SPLOST Citizens Committee.
