Floyd Against Drugs


Floyd Against Drugs is a community based organization bringing awareness to all of Floyd County, Georgia.

Our Vision is to mobilize the entire community of Rome and Floyd County and work together to fight the poor choices that lead to drugs.

FAD is a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organization founded in 2000.  Its members are volunteers from all sectors of the community.  

FAD works collaboratively with social service agencies, local law enforcement agencies, and other non-profit organizations on drug abuse issues.

DRUG DROP OFF
September 29, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Floyd Against Drugs (FAD) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public another opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs and sharps.  Bring your medications for disposal to Floyd Medical Center - Corporate Support located at 402 East 2nd Avenue.  The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

 

RED RIBBON WEEK
October 23 - 31, 2012
Floyd Against Drugs will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week and will be distributing red silicon bracelets with Drug Free messages to all 4th through 12th grade students in Rome City and Floyd County schools, as well as participating private schools.

 

LET'S TALK - WOMEN'S HEALTH INITIATIVE
November 3, 2012
Floyd Against Drugs will have an informational booth from 8:00 a.m. - Noon at the Floyd County Health Department, 16 East 12th Street.
