Floyd Against Drugs

Floyd Against Drugs is a community based organization bringing awareness to all of Floyd County, Georgia.

Our Vision is to mobilize the entire community of Rome and Floyd County and work together to fight the poor choices that lead to drugs.

FAD is a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organization founded in 2000.  Its members are volunteers from all sectors of the community.  

FAD works collaboratively with social service agencies, local law enforcement agencies, and other non-profit organizations on drug abuse issues.

Saturday, August 17th – Participated in 100 Black Men’s Health Initiative at Floyd Health Department.

Thursday, October 10th – Rome Civic Center on Jackson Hill – former prison inmate, Chris Sandy, delivers powerful life changing messages at 6:30 p.m. Open to all of the community.


Friday, October 11th – Chris Sandy and Eric Krug speak on their true life stories to students at Darlington Upper School in the morning and Pepperell High School in the afternoon.


Saturday, October 12th Red Ribbon Week Celebration at the South Rome Boys and Girls Club in collaboration with the Georgia Council on Alcohol and Drugs. Carnival, food and games.


Saturday, October 19th Women’s Health Fair at the Floyd County Health Department.


Wednesday, October 23October 31st - National Red Ribbon Week – Distribution of red silicon bracelets with a drug free message to 4th – 12th graders in Rome and Floyd County Schools, Darlington, St. Mary’s Catholic School, and Unity Christian School.
