City of Rome Finance Department

Department Overview

The Finance Department is a service department for the City of Rome employees and residents. The department is under the direction of Sheree Shore, Finance Director, and employs seven full time staff members. The department is responsible for:

  • Accounting for fixed assets
  • Annual audit
  • Assists in the City budget planning
  • Financial reporting
  • Invoicing for payment to vendors
  • Making investments
  • Payroll processing
  • Tax reporting, W-2 and 1099 filing
