The Floyd County Board of Elections and Voter Registration consists of three members, appointed by the Floyd County Board of Commissioners. The Board has responsibility for the oversight of elections and registration of voters within its jurisdiction. These responsibilities are carried out by the Elections Supervisor and staff. The Elections Office responsibilities include the registration of voters and maintenance of voter registration files, certification of candidates for the ballot, storage, maintenance and set-up of voting equipment, appointment and training of Election Workers, execution of elections, tabulation and reporting of election results, and the certification of all election results to include proper reporting to local authorities and the Georgia Secretary of State.
The Floyd County Board of Elections and Voter Registration members are appointed by the Floyd County Board of Commissioners with staggered four year terms. Current terms of office are:

Pete McDonald - January 2011– December 2014
Board Meetings
The Board of Elections and Voter Registration regular meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of each month at 12 noon in the Elections Office. In the event of a holiday or scheduling conflict, such as prior to an election, meetings are re-scheduled. Please see Calendar of Events for a listing of meeting dates.
