Communication System SOP Development
In preparation for cutting over to the new P25 trunked communication system, Floyd County requests the development of standard operating procedures for the county agencies that are preparing to use the new system. To complete this task, individual county agency meetings must be conducted to discuss individual operations, interoperability as well as review any existing policies and procedures. Through an evaluation of the individual agency’s current policies, a prepared standard guidelines will be developed that integrate into individual agency’s current policies and when necessary, in a format that easily integrates into already published documents. The focus should be on logistic and operations specific to the use of the new P25 digital communications system, intra-operability between the county agencies and inter-operability with agencies and jurisdictions outside the county. Communication Asset Lease Plan
Floyd County Emergency Management is requesting quotes for a consultant to prepare a detailed plan for leasing communication assets which is crucial to ensure current tenants and new applicants are afforded the protection necessary to provide communication commitments to their customers. Likewise, a solid plan for managing communication assets protects the county’s investment and mitigates the possibility of landlord tenant issues. Floyd County desires the development of a Communication Asset Lease Plan that addresses all aspects of Floyd County leasing options. The plan should include the intent of Floyd County to rent and protect certain space and technology. It should also identify a step-by-step application process, fee schedule and areas for mitigating pitfalls such as tower structural integrity, intermodulation, interference and the ability for the County as the landlord to make adjustments to existing tenants to maximize future rental space. As technology advances, a solid plan is essential to maintaining communication capability for the tenants while maximizing the county’s ability to lease space.		 Status:

Floyd County is requesting quotes for the purchase and installation of two (2) Mitsubishi Mr. Slim cooling-only systems in the 911 Radio Room on the 2nd floor of the Rome-Floyd Law Enforcement Center. One unit will serve as a redundant system to the other. Outdoor unit model number is PUY-A36NHA4, indoor unit model number is PLA-A36BA4. Each thermostat will be installed in the Radio Room by the door. Outdoor condensing units will be mounted on the roof outside the penthouse. Units shall be powered by a new dedicated load center that is backed up by the emergency generator. Requests for product substitutions must be made in writing by 4:00PM May 8, 2012.		 Status:

The Floyd County Tax Assessor’s Office is migrating its appraisal software to WinGap.
The current 36,624 sketches of all buildings were generated by custom applications software utilizing AutoCad as the graphics engine. These DWG files must be converted to a format compatible with the WinGap appraisal software.
