Said bids will be received until 2:00 P.M. June 15, 2012 in the office of the Purchasing Director, located in Suite 106 of the Floyd County Administration Building, #12 East Fourth Ave, Rome, Georgia 30161. Sealed bids will be opened and read in public at the above address, time and date.

GENERAL: This project was previously bid on 3 May 2012 and all bids were rejected. Floyd County modified the Scope of Work and is seeking a certified roofing contractor to install a mechanically attached Mule-Hide Reinforced TPO Roofing Membrane, Flashing and accessories as specified in the bid documents.

PRE-BID AND SITE VISIT Jun 1, 2012 @ 10:00AM. Participants will meet at the Floyd County Jail located at 2526 New Calhoun Highway, Rome Ga. 30161. This site visit will be mandatory for any company having not attended the 18 April 2012 Site visit. If your company attended the pre-bid meeting on 18 April 2012 then the site visit will not be mandatory, but is recommended as the scope of work has changed. Bond Requirements: Bids $100,000.00 or more will require a Bid Bond of 5%. Contract Security in the form of 100% Performance and Payment Bonds or Irrevocable Letter of Credit will be required upon award. Bids less than $100,000.00 will not require a Bid Bond, Payment and Performance Bonds or Irrevocable Letter of Credit.

Questions related to this Invitation to Bid shall be in writing to Everett Gray, Purchasing Agent - graye@floydcountyga.org or fax 706-290-6099. Questions received prior to May 31 will be addressed during site visit. Questions submitted after 31 May must be received prior to 8 Jun 2012 and will be answered in writing or in the form of an addendum.

Specifications, further instructions and agreements can be obtained from the Office of the Purchasing Director (706) 291-5118. Payment of said award, if approved, will be made by the Floyd County Board of Commissioners.
