County Manager

The Board of Commissioners employs a full-time professional County Manager to administer the day-to-day operations of county government and to enforce all laws, ordinances and policies adopted by the Board.
The County Manager oversees all county departments, administers the budget adopted by the Board, and implements all policies and directives set by the Floyd County Board of Commissioners.

Blaine Williams was apointed County Manager effective January 1st 2012.  Prior to his appointment as County Manager he had served as Assistant County Manager of Floyd County since 2007. Prior to working for the County, he was a strategic, financial, and design/construction consultant for not-for-profit hospital systems, including the LSU Charity System before, during, and after Hurricane Katrina.  He has previously served as the Director of Public Administration for the Middle Georgia Regional Commission, worked for six years as the Downtown and River Development Director for the City of Rome, and taught public administration at Berry College
